“I love the idea of a cozy set. It’s great for lounging on the weekends or WFH attire, so I was excited to try this little Guest In Residence combo. The cardigan was a little oversized for my usual size, small, but I think it would be great for layering. If I wanted to wear it more as a fitted top, per the current cardigan trend, I would have definitely sized down. It was very comfortable, though, and not particularly thick either, so I imagine it’s more of a springtime piece rather than one made for bundling up in the winter. Now, I was really curious about the shorts. (Who wouldn’t want to know what cashmere bikers feel like?) When I put them on, I realized the silhouette runs longer than the biker shorts I usually wear, but I didn’t hate the look. I’m just not sure how I feel about the material. It didn’t bother me at first, but after a while—I wore the shorts for about an hour while working at my desk—my thighs started to get itchy and I reluctantly had to change. Maybe it would’ve helped to have a bit of lining? I don’t know. I would consider these bottoms in a looser style, like the Everywear Pant, but this skin-hugging version was not for me. If they were a tad cozier, I would probably never take them off.”—Erica Gonzales, senior culture editor
