Gentari continues to add more DC fast chargers at Petronas stations along the North-South Expressway. The latest deployment is at Petronas NKVE Northbound located right before the Damansara Toll Plaza Exit. The location for EV owners who require a quick top-up between Negeri Sembilan and Ipoh.
The Petronas NKVE location features a 150kW Kempower DC fast charger with dynamic power sharing. There are a total of 3 satellite terminals with CCS2 ports which can deliver up to 150kW for 800V-based EVs and up to 120kW for 400V-based EVs.
The EV charging bays are located on the left side of the Petronas station, next to the air pump and water facility. F&B amenities available at the location include 4fingers, McDonald’s, Tealive and Dunkin’ Donuts.
Similar to most of Gentari’s DC fast charging sites, the Petronas NKVE chargers are priced at RM1.50 per kWh. If you have a Gentari annual membership, it will cost just RM0.75 per kWh. To activate these chargers, you can use the Setel and JomCharge app.
As highlighted in the charging app, the second charging nozzle #2 is currently limited to just 80kW until further notice. To get the maximum DC charging rate possible, users are urged to use nozzles #1 and #3 for the time being.
Gentari has deployed several new DC chargers in the past few months which makes interstate travel with an EV more seamless. The recent deployments along the North-South Expressway include the 180kW DC charger at Petronas Ulu Bernam Southbound, DC chargers with battery energy storage system at Behrang Lay-by, 150kW DC charger at Petronas Solaris Seri Kembangan and Petronas Sungai Buloh Lay-by Southbound.
