Astro SuperSport is no more. Here’s Astro’s revamped Sports Content lineup

Astro has announced that it will revamp its Sports Content lineup which will feature new names and Channel numbers. The new Sports Content changes will reflect starting 17th October 2024 and Astro says it will offer a more cohesive viewing experience with a simpler way to recognise the channels by the sports on the channel.

The pay-TV operator added that the update will enhance the viewing experience, deliver even more compelling sports content and strengthen Astro’s position as a premier destination for Sports fans.

One of the biggest changes is Astro SuperSport 1 & 2 which will be replaced with Astro Premier League 1 & 2 on CH 811 and CH 812. These channels are dedicated to offer all Premier League Live matches and repeats.

Another change is Astro SuperSport 4 which is updated to Astro Football on CH 814 and it offers other football leagues such as Conmebol WC and AFC Qualifiers.

CH 810 (currently SPOTV2) will be changed to Astro Grandstand which features live coverage of major sporting events worldwide and CH 815 (currently W-Sport) will be assigned as Astro Badminton, a channel dedicated to live badminton matches featuring top players around the world.

Meanwhile, CH 817 (currently beIN Sports 2) will be redesignated as Astro Sports Plus which covers international sporting events from NBA, UFC, One FC, NASCAR, WWE, Athletics and Volleyball.

The other Sports channels from BeIn, SPOTV, Eurosport, W- Sport, WWE, NBC Golf, Premier Sports and Astro Cricket HD will be assigned new channel numbers as shown above.

According to Astro, Sports Pack customers will enjoy full access from all-new Astro rebranded sports channels along with beIN Sports, SPOTV, Eurosport & W- Sports. Meanwhile, Sports Lite subscribers will get access to major sporting live events with Astro Grandstand, Astro Football as well as Astro Sports Plus.

For Premier League Subscribers, you can enjoy exclusive Premier League channels with additional Astro Football and Astro Sports Plus channels.
