As announced last month, Charge+ and XPeng are teaming up to deploy a regional network of EV charging hubs in Southeast Asia and they aim to deploy at least 20 Supercharging locations across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. Today, they have launched their first EV charging location in Malaysia located at KL Eco City.

Capable of providing DC fast charging up to 350kW, Charge+ says this is currently the fastest DC charging hub at Kuala Lumpur. The KL Eco City location has a total of 6 bays and there will soon introduce preferential pricing for XPeng EV owners.

For this EV charging location at KL Eco City, Charge+ has deployed TELD DC charging solution consisting of a 2x 240kW Power Cabinet and 6x DC charge points. While the Power Cabinet is capable of 480kW, the setup is currently configured for a maximum of 350kW.

There are a total of 6 charging bays which are accessible without any parking fees but they offer different power outputs. The first two nozzles can deliver up to a maximum of 350kW (350A), while the next two nozzles can deliver up to 250kW (250A). Meanwhile the last two nozzles are capable of delivering up to 200kW (200A).

Since the total power capacity is shared across the six nozzles, your actual peak DC charging rate is dependent on how many EVs are plugged in simultaneously. If you have an 800V EV, it can deliver a peak rate of up to 280kW (350A).

At the moment, these chargers are priced at RM1.50 per kWh and we were told that the special rate for XPeng owners will be announced later. These chargers can be activated via the Charge+ app once it is live for public use.

These charging bays are located at Level LL and they are signages around KL Eco City to guide users to the EV charging hub. While you charge your EV, you can access the mall through the door located across the EV charging hub.

At the time of writing, these EV chargers are still not open to the public. We’ve been told that it is expected to be ready by Friday, 24th October 2025.

Previously, the fastest EV charger in Kuala Lumpur is ChargEV’s 320kW DC Charger at Berjaya Times Square. It features two charging bays located in front of the mall’s entrance and they are currently priced at RM1.60 per kWh.
