Samsung has launched its new Galaxy Tab S12 series, comprising of the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+. The latest flagship Android tablets feature Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays, MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset and a greater focus on productivity and AI-assisted workflows.
Both tablets come bundled with an S Pen in the box and run on the latest One UI 9. These devices are also the first Android tablets to ship with Adobe Photoshop out of the box with free access for a limited time.
In Malaysia, the Galaxy Tab S12 series is available in WiFi and 5G options with a single RAM and storage configuration.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ and S12 Ultra Malaysia Pricing and Promo
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will be available in Malaysia from 7 October 2026. Available in Gray and Silver, all options are offered only with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

From 7 October until 8 November 2026, Samsung is offering an instant rebate of up to RM500 when customers pay with eligible bank cards or via SPayLater. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra gets a RM500 rebate, while the Galaxy Tab S12+ gets RM400 off.
This brings the promotional prices down to:

Educational Pricing
Students and eligible education staff can get up to 20% off through Samsung’s Education Store.
According to Samsung, users will need to sign in with a Samsung Account and verify their eligible .edu student email to be eligible for student pricing.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra Specs and Features
Sitting at the top of the lineup is the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, which features a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display pushing a resolution of 2960 x 1848 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The panel can hit up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness and Samsung has made further enhancements with Seamless Vision Booster, which adjusts display brightness according to surrounding lighting conditions.
Unlike the previous Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra does not come with an anti-reflective display coating out of the box. The Anti-Reflecting Screen Protector is offered as an optional accessory.
Under the hood, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra runs on the 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9500 which claims to offer up to 61% faster NPU performance, 19% faster CPU performance and 17% better GPU performance compared to the previous Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. It also gets a redesigned 3D vapour chamber to improve heat dissipation during sustained workloads.
If the included 256GB internal storage isn’t enough, the tablet offers microSD card expansion of up to 2TB.
One of the main focuses this year is PC-like multitasking. The Galaxy Tab S12 series offers Multi Window which allows users to split the screen to run three apps side-by-side. The included S Pen can be used for writing and annotation, while Note Assist can summarise notes within Samsung Notes.
As a creative-focused device, it features a tablet-optimised interface with S Pen support as well as AI-powered editing tools.
Adobe Photoshop comes preloaded in the Galaxy Picks folder, making the Tab S12 series the first Android tablet to ship with Photoshop preloaded. Galaxy Tab S12 buyers get four months of free access to the Photoshop premium mobile plan, which includes 100 monthly generative credits.
Other productivity and creative apps include Notability, Goodnotes, LumaFusion, Notion and Clip Studio Paint, although the free-trial periods and subsequent subscription requirements vary between apps. Both Galaxy Tab S12 models also come with a six-month Google AI Pro trial, providing expanded access to Gemini and other Google AI services.
For imaging, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has a dual-camera setup at the rear consisting of a 13MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera.
Up front for video calls, there is a 12MP ultra-wide camera. It also supports up to 4K 60fps video recording.
When it comes to speakers, the new Galaxy Tab S12 series still comes with a quad-speaker setup but they now offer four-channel spatial audio instead of just two in the previous model.
The Ultra supports WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 and 5G on cellular models. It also gets a large 11,600mAh battery which is rated to last for up to 23 hours of video playback and it still supports 45W wired fast charging.
Despite its huge display, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra measures just 5.1mm thick and weighs 692g for the WiFi model or 695g for the 5G version. There’s also IP68-rated dust and water resistance.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ Specs and Features
If you’re looking for something slightly more compact, the Galaxy Tab S12+ gets a 12.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 2800 x 1752 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Like the Ultra, it supports up to 1,600 nits peak brightness and it comes with Samsung’s Seamless Vision Booster.
Under the hood, it retains the same Dimensity 9500 processor with 12GB RAM, 256GB storage and support for microSD cards of up to 2TB.
The other notable changes is single 13MP main camera at the rear without a secondary ultra-wide-angle shooter, but it still retains as 12MP ultra-wide selfie camera.
The Galaxy Tab S12+ also comes with four speakers with four-channel support, however, it only supports up to WiFi 6E instead of WiFi 7.
As expected for a slightly smaller tablet, it comes with a 10,600mAh battery that’s rated for up to 21 hours of video playback. It also supports 45W fast wired charging.
The Galaxy Tab S12+ measures 5.3mm thick and weighs 553g for the WiFi version or 555g for the 5G model. Similar to the Ultra, it comes with IP68-rated dust and water resistance.
Both Galaxy Tab S12 models run Android 17 with One UI 9 out of the box. Samsung says both devices are eligible for up to 7 generations of OS upgrades and 7 years of security updates.
