Samsung’s latest flagship Android tablets, the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, are now officially available in Malaysia. For students and educators, Samsung is offering discounted education pricing at 20% off, which brings the Galaxy Tab S12+ WiFi down to as low as RM3,999.20, while the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra WiFi version is going from RM4,799.20.
The education offer is available from 7 October 2026 for users with a valid .edu.my email address. The promo allows students to save up to RM1,329.80 on the Galaxy Tab S12 series.
Both tablets are powered by the 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9500 and come with an S Pen and Book Cover Keyboard Slim. Samsung is also bundling software and subscription benefits including six months of Google AI Pro, six months of Notability and four months of Adobe Photoshop.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 series is offered in Malaysia with both WiFi and 5G variants available. This time, Samsung Malaysia is keeping things simple with a single 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage configuration for the entire lineup. It comes in two colours: Gray and Silver.

To access the education pricing, users must register or sign in to a Samsung Account and verify a valid edu.my education email address. The offer is available via Samsung.com, the Samsung Shop app and selected Samsung Experience Stores nationwide.
For non-students, Samsung is running a launch promotion from 7 October until 8 November 2026 where you can get up to RM500 off when you pay via SPayLater or a participating bank card.
During the promo period, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra receives a RM500 rebate, bringing the WiFi model down to RM5,499 and the 5G model to RM6,149.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab S12+ gets a RM400 rebate, bringing the WiFi version down to RM4,599 and the 5G version to RM5,249.
Samsung says the Galaxy Tab S12 series also comes with pre-loaded apps and benefits including Gemini, Adobe Photoshop, Notability and iQIYI worth RM1,123.58. In addition, both tablets also come bundled with the Book Cover Keyboard and S Pen worth up to RM1,208.
Samsung Galaxy S12 Ultra Specs and Features
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is Samsung’s larger flagship tablet, featuring a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display pushing 2960 x 1848 pixels with a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel has a peak brightness of 1,600 nits and comes with Seamless Vision Booster that is designed to better adjust the screen brightness in real-time based on ambient lighting conditions.
Similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, the display still comes with a notch for the selfie camera. However, the new flagship tablet now lacks the anti-reflective coating which was included previously.
Under the hood is MediaTek’s 3nm Dimensity 9500 processor, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. If you need more, you can expand storage with a microSD card of up to 2TB.
For imaging, it gets a 13MP main and 8MP ultra-wide camera at the rear, along with a 12MP ultra-wide camera on the front.
In the audio department, the new Tab S12 Ultra gets an upgraded quad-speaker setup, with four-channel spatial audio instead of just two channels on its predecessor models.
The Ultra supports WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, while the cellular version adds 5G connectivity. Keeping the lights on is an 11,600mAh battery supporting 45W wired charging, with Samsung rating it for up to 23 hours of video playback.
Despite the 14.6-inch screen, the Tab S12 Ultra is 5.1mm thick and weighs 692g for the WiFi model or 695g for the 5G version. It also gets IP68-rated dust and water resistance and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Samsung Galaxy S12+ Specs and Features
If you’re looking for a slightly more compact option, the Galaxy Tab S12+ essentially offers most of the Ultra’s core hardware in a smaller package.
The Tab S12+ gets a smaller 12.6-inch120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X display pushing 2800 x 1752 pixels and it has the same peak brightness at 1,600 nits. There’s also Seamless Vision Booster and unlike the Tab S12 Ultra, it gets symmetrical bezels without the notch.
It still runs on the same MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, while retaining microSD expansion of up to 2TB.
The main differences are the cameras, connectivity and battery. Instead of the Ultra’s dual rear camera setup, the S12+ gets a single 13MP rear camera while retaining the 12MP ultra-wide front camera. WiFi connectivity tops out at WiFi 6E rather than WiFi 7.
Its smaller body houses a 10,600mAh battery with the same 45W wired charging support, with Samsung claiming it can last for up to 21 hours of video playback. The tablet measures 5.3mm thick and weighs 553g for the WiFi model or 555g for the 5G version.
Like the Ultra version, the Galaxy Tab S12+ gets IP68-rated dust and water resistance, a quad-speaker setup with four-channel spatial audio and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Both Galaxy Tab S12 models run Android 17 with One UI 9 out of the box. For long term support, Samsung says both tablets are backed with up to seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates.
