Samsung has launched its latest clamshell foldable, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The new Flip brings its most significant upgrades yet, headlined by a completely redesigned cover screen and a major shift under the hood.
Edge-to-edge 4.1” cover screen with slimmer bezels

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 now features a 4.1” FlexWindow display with 1048×948 pixels resolution that stretches edge to edge. While Samsung isn’t the first smartphone brand to do so, the edge-to-edge cover screen on the Z Flip 7 looks stunning thanks to its ultra-slim 1.25mm bezels. This is currently the slimmest bezels ever on a Galaxy smartphone.
On top of that, the screen is also smoother and brighter as it boasts a refresh rate of 120Hz along with a peak brightness of 2600 nits. Besides having more display real estate for new possibilities, Samsung says users can enjoy ultra-fluid scrolling, streaming and gaming for both outer and inner displays. The FlexWindow also gets Vision Booster which enhances outdoor visibility while under harsh sunlight.

Bigger 6.9” inner screen, thinner build and improved durability

Inside, the main screen grows from 6.7 to 6.9 inches (Dynamic AMOLED 2X) with Full HD+ (2520×1080) resolution, retaining the tall form factor Flip users are used to. Despite the size bump, Samsung has made the Flip 7 thinner at 13.7mm (Z Flip 6: 14.9mm) while also improving durability.

According to Samsung, the new Flip uses a reengineered ultra-high density circuit board, a new Armor Flex Hinge, and refined internal architecture to improve strength without increasing bulk.
Larger 4,300mAh battery, Exynos 2500 and Samsung DeX

Battery life sees a noticeable bump with a 4,300mAh cell, up from 4,000mAh on the Z Flip 6. Samsung claims it can deliver up to 31 hours of video playback, assisted by a more efficient 3nm processor.
Like the Z Fold 7, Samsung still retains the same 25W “fast” wired charging and 15W “fast” wireless charging on the latest Galaxy Z Flip 7. Samsung reckons that you can get up to 50% charge in about 30 minutes.

Interestingly, Samsung has taken the unusual step of moving away from Qualcomm this round for the flip. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 runs on the Exynos 2500, making it the first Z Flip model in recent memory without a Snapdragon chip.
As an added bonus, the Korean smartphone maker is also officially bringing Samsung Dex to the Galaxy Z Flip 7 for the first time. This flagship feature enables you to transform your phone into a desktop-PC like experience when you hook it up to a monitor, keyboard and mouse via USB-C.
Dual cameras with ProVisual Engine and upgraded cover UI

On the back, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 sticks with a familar dual-camera setup: a 50MP main camera offering 2x optical-quality zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. On the inside, there’s a 10MP selfie shooter.
The new ProVisual Engine brings 10-bit HDR video with 4x richer colours compared to the Z Flip 6. Selfies on the cover screen get a boost too, with improved portrait modes, real-time filters, and a more intuitive UI experience. Samsung has also tweaked the timer animation on the FlexWindow to help with framing.
Being a flagship foldable device, it still gets IP48-rated dust and water resistance. It is also backed by 7 years of operating system and security patch updates, which is one of the longest in the industry. Out of the box, it runs on One UI 8 based on Android 16.
