Poco M7: Large 6.9″ 144Hz display, massive 7,000mAh battery and priced under RM600

Looking for a budget sub-RM600 smartphone with a huge battery? Xiaomi Malaysia has announced the arrival of the Poco M7 which boasts a large 6.9″ display and a massive 7,000mAh battery.

It is cheaper than the recently announced Redmi 15 5G, however, this smartphone lacks 5G connectivity.

The Poco M7 comes in two RAM and storage configurations and here’s the official pricing in Malaysia:

  • Poco M7 6GB + 128GB – RM499 (Promo: RM469)
  • Poco M7 8GB + 256GB – RM599 (Promo: RM559)

As usual, Poco is having an early bird promo for its latest devices and you can purchase the Poco M7 from as low as RM469 starting tomorrow, 19th August 2025.

The Poco M7 is available for purchase on Mi.com, Shopee and Lazada. The device comes in 3 colours – Silver, Blue and Black.

Poco M7 Malaysia Specs and Features

The Poco M7 is a budget-centric smartphone which sits below the current Poco M7 Pro 5G. To recap, the Poco M7 Pro 5G runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7025 and it comes with a smaller 5,110mAh battery.

Meanwhile, the Poco M7 is a 4G smartphone which comes with a 6.9″ Full HD+ (2340×1080) display that boasts a refresh rate of up to 144Hz and a peak brightness of up to 850 nits.

Under the hood, it runs on a 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 4G chip that’s paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. If you need more storage, it supports microSD card expansion of up to 2TB.

In the camera department, it comes with a single 50MP f/1.8 main camera that can record up to 1080p video, while the front gets a 8MP selfie shooter.

The main highlight of the device is its generous 7,000mAh battery with Silicon Carbon technology that claims to provide up to 2 days of daily usage in a compact design. The device supports 33W fast wired charging via USB-C as well as 18W reverse wired charging.

Xiaomi claims that even with 1% of power remaining, you can still make calls for up to 64 minutes based on their internal lab testing. To extend the overall battery lifespan, it also features Battery Health 4.0 which adjusts your charging strategy and there’s also a Zero Power Instant On which allows you to turn on the device within seconds after battery is depleted.

Besides that, the device also gets IP64-rated dust and splash resistance, NFC support and an IR blaster.
