Trapo Malaysia has unveiled its latest 2025 product lineup which includes new sustainable car mats from the Classic and Eco lineup. The latest generation Trapo Classic V is described as the most comfortable cushioned car mat in the market, while the updated Trapo Eco IV is currently the most affordable car mat with RealGrip anti-slip technology.
The Classic car mat lineup is Trapo’s best seller and the latest Mark V focuses on comfort with its new Cloudflex cushioning technology. It claims to be 50% softer than TPV mats and it is described as a “car mat that feels like wearing a pair of shoes”.
To ensure that the mat stays in place in various day to day scenarios, they have also enhanced its anti-slip technology with RealGrip 2.0 which uses performance polymers from ExxonMobil. The folks at Trapo emphasised the importance of anti-slip technology which offers enhanced stability and safety for drivers.
In addition, the Trapo Classic V retains its signature Bactekiller anti-bacterial feature as well as a diamond pattern reservoir that’s easy to clean. It is also backed by a three-year warranty like its predecessor.
Meanwhile, its affordable Trapo Eco IV car mat has been updated with RealGrip anti-slip technology for improved stability. In addition, they have also updated the heelpad pattern which now carries the Trapo branding without the word “ECO”.
The Trapo Eco IV still features a square pattern reservoir and it is still backed by a one-year warranty.
As part of its sustainability ambitions, Trapo car mats are made with recycled materials which include post-consumed resin, recycled tyre pigment, pre-consumed recycled EVA, rice husk resin and recycled PET bottles.
To take a step further, Trapo is replacing its old “pizza box” packaging for a more sustainable option in partnership with KYM Holdings Bhd. According to the brand, the switch to the new recyclable packaging is expected to save 300 tonnes of packaging.
