Gentari deploys two 120kW DC Chargers at Boulevard Shopping Mall in Kuching

Gentari continues to expands its EV charging network in Sarawak. Besides its latest DC Charger deployments in Bintulu and Sri Aman, they have also turned on two 120kW DC chargers located at Boulevard Shopping Mall in Kuching.

With these DC chargers, EV drivers can easily top up their EVs when they visit the mall.

Gentari’s new DC chargers are located at the basement carpark at Boulevard Shopping Mall and there are a total of four bays located near Pillar D 11.

There are two 120kW DC chargers with two CCS2 nozzles each. EVs can get up to 120kW of DC charging or split up to 60kW when two EVs are plugged in at the same time to the same charger.

These chargers are priced at RM1.40 per minute and it can be activated via the Gentari Go app. This means a 15 minute top-up will cost you RM21 or 30 minutes for RM42.

If you can maximise the 120kW DC charging rate (assuming you’re the only EV plugged in) consistently, you could be getting about 30kWh in 15 minutes, which is equivalent to approximately RM0.70 per kWh. But if the charging rate is cut down to 60kW (When two EVs are plugged in), you can expect about 15kWh in 15 minutes, which is equivalent to approximately RM1.40 per kWh, which is still fair.

To get the most out of the time-based chargers, it is best not to split the charger with another EV. If one EV is already plugged to a 120kW DC charger, it is best to use the other 120kW DC charger that’s available. In addition, Gentari Go Power Pass members can also enjoy 50% off at this location.

In Sarawak, only Gentari x SEB chargers are offering kWh-based pricing. Meanwhile, other locations are using time-based per minute pricing.
