Proton Saga MC3 is now official: Priced from as low as RM37,990

Another new era has arrived for Proton as the national automaker officially launched the latest iteration of its iconic Proton Saga. The 2026 all-new Proton Saga, also fondly known as Proton Saga MC3, comes with plenty of upgrades in terms of design, performance, and features.

2026 Proton Saga Pricing, Colourways

Before the launch, Proton had said that the tentative pricing for the 2026 all-new Saga was from RM40,000 to RM50,000. As per Proton’s tradition, the finalised price tag for the new model proved to be slightly different:

2026 Proton Saga Premium: RM48,990
2026 Proton Saga Executive: RM43,990
2026 Proton Saga Standard: RM37,990

The pricing above includes the RM10,000 launch rebate, which is valid until 31 December 2025.

The 4th generation Saga can be obtained in several colourways, including the signature Ruby Red alongside Snow White and Armour Silver. Completing the list are two new colours: Deep Marine Blue and Space Grey.

For the Premium variant, it also features two-tone 15-inch alloy wheels, while the Executive version comes with similar alloy wheels but in a single-tone finish. For the Standard model, it has been fitted with 14-inch wheels.

2026 Proton Saga Quick Specs

One of the biggest changes that comes with the all-new Saga is a completely fresh face. This is mainly in the form of a new front grille featuring the Sulaman Songket motif, which is being flanked by LED projector headlamps that include Daytime Running Lamps (DRL).

The all-new Saga also features a redesigned taillight, which is inclusive of a full LED light bar. In addition to that, the new budget-oriented sedan will ride on the newly designed 15-inch alloy wheels with a dual-tone finish.

Under the hood, the all-new Saga receives a significant upgrade through the new 1.5L i-GT engine. This is the same engine that powers the 2026 Proton X50, but without the turbocharger.

With a maximum power output of 118hp (88kW) alongside 150Nm of torque, the engine is paired with a CVT for the Premium variant, while the Executive and Standard variants received a 4-speed automatic transmission. Proton claimed that the new 1.5L i-GT engine has a fuel consumption of just 4.9L/100km when paired with CVT.

The new sedan has also been fitted with an Electric Power Steering for a more refined driving experience. Proton also said that its signature ride and handling tuning ensures that the all-new Saga can deliver a perfect balance of comfort and control.

After delivering AACP at launch for the 2026 Proton X50 and Proton e.MAS 5, it is now the all-new Proton Saga’s turn to have the feature. That’s correct: the 2026 Saga supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay (AACP) via wired or wireless connections.

At the same time, the car also features a 7-inch digital instrument cluster together with a 9-inch infotainment display. Proton has also equipped the all-new Saga with a Level 1 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).
