Infinix teams up with Pininfarina for future smartphone designs. Note 60 Ultra launching first in 2026

Infinix has just announced its strategic partnership with Pininfarina for its upcoming flagship smartphones, revealed at the Business of Design Week 2025 in Kuala Lumpur.

And yes, the Pininfarina we’re talking about here is the same 95-year-old Italian design house known for shaping some of the world’s most iconic automobiles.

Infinix Note 60 Ultra to be the partnership’s first smartphone

The collaboration will see Pininfarina contributing to the design of Infinix’s future flagship devices, with the Infinix Note 60 Ultra set to become the first product born from this alliance when it launches in 2026.

Infinix also highlighted its recent growth milestone, achieving the largest quarter-on-quarter shipment increase in Southeast Asia in Q2 2025, according to IDC’s Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker. This surge was driven by strong sales in markets including the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

Who is Pininfarina?

For those unfamiliar, Pininfarina is an Italian design house founded in 1930 by Battista “Pinin” Farina, making it 95 years old today.

Known for its focus on elegance, form, and performance, the studio has been behind some of the most recognisable car designs in automotive history, including the Ferrari Testarossa, Alfa Romeo Spider, Maserati GranTurismo, and Peugeot 406 Coupé.

The company remains based in Italy, specifically in Cambiano, and has been majority-owned by the Mahindra Group, an Indian multinational conglomerate, since 2015.
