TQ Wuling Bingo was launched in Malaysia earlier this month, which marks the official arrival of SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) into our market. The brand TQ Wuling itself was established through a collaboration between Tan Chong Motor (TCM) and SGMW, which began a few years ago in Vietnam.
Regardless of whether it is EV or ICE, maintenance is important. The majority of EV brands out there, including TQ Wuling, still adhere to the traditional preventive maintenance philosophy, although the cost to maintain an EV is generally lower due to a lower number of components and longer service intervals.
TQ Wuling Bingo Malaysia Maintenance Schedule and Price

As for the Bingo, we were informed by TQ Wuling Malaysia that the EV’s service interval is every 20,000km or 12 months, whichever comes first. That being said, the first service point takes place at the 5,000km or 3-month mark.
Here is the full 5-year maintenance schedule for Bingo, as provided by TQ Wuling Malaysia to SoyaCincau.com:

After tallying the figures listed in the table above, the total service fee for 5 years is RM1,687.95, as of 17 December 2025. Once you include the 8% sales & service tax (SST), the total would then be RM1,822.99.
In general, Bingo’s maintenance is noticeably higher than Proton e.MAS 5, which is the only other EV in Malaysia that currently has a pure sub-RM100k price tag. As a comparison, the total 5-year service cost for the e.MAS 5 is currently RM1,278.03 inclusive of SST.
TQ Wuling Bingo Malaysia Price, Warranty

As the Bingo is locally assembled in TCM’s Jalan Segambut plant in Kuala Lumpur, TQ Wuling is able to price the new compact electric hatchback for under RM100,000:
- TQ Wuling Bingo Pro: RM62,800
- TQ Wuling Bingo Max: RM67,800
The pricing above is already inclusive of the RM5,000 launch rebate for the first 500 customers. If you are wondering: Yes, all the pricing mentioned here COVERS the EV’s battery as well.
For our market, the Bingo is covered by a 5-year / 150,000km vehicle warranty. There is also a separate 8-year / 120,000km warranty for its high-voltage battery and an 8-year / 160,000km warranty for the electric motor.
TQ Wuling Bingo Malaysia Quick Specs

You might not be able to tell from the outside, but the Bingo is actually a 4-seater EV since there is no centre seat belt for the rear passengers. In terms of performance, the Bingo is equipped with a 50kW motor that also produces 150Nm of torque.
The 0-50km/h and 0-100km/h figures for the Malaysian variant were not revealed, but we were told that the EV can reach a top speed of around 130km/h. While it has a 395L (expandable to 1,240L) boot space, the Bingo does not come with a frunk as the EV has a front-wheel drive setup.
The biggest differentiator between the two Bingo variants for Malaysia is the capacity of their LFP-based Magic battery, which also affects their range.

Specifically, the Bingo Pro comes with a 31.9kWh battery, which allows it to deliver a CLTC-rated range of 333km or around 270km of WLTP-estimated range. As for the higher-end Bingo Max, it has been fitted with a 37.9kWh battery pack and is capable of delivering a CLTC-rated range of 410km or around 335km of WLTP-estimated range.
When it comes to charging, both Bingo variants support a DC charging speed of 50kW, which allows their battery to reach 30% to 80% in less than 35 minutes. They also support AC charging speed of 7kW, which allows the Pro variant to be fully charged in 4.5 hours or 5.5 hours for the Max variant.
Unfortunately, we were informed that Bingo does not have the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature, which would enable owners to utilise the high-voltage battery to power external appliances. V2L feature is synonymous with EVs from Chinese manufacturers, so it is indeed odd to see that it is missing from Bingo.

Despite its entry-level nature, it seems that the SGMW team that worked on Bingo still cares about its aesthetics and has put some effort into implementing several interesting design elements throughout the EV. Among these features are the X-shaped LED running lights and taillights, as well as the stylish interior.
Speaking about the interior, the dashboard is generally made of soft leatherette panel alongside glossy ceramic-like plastic around the infotainment display, physical climate control knobs, and air-conditioning vents. The Bingo also features a floating island-style centre console which opens up the area between the driver and front passenger while its seats are covered with leatherette upholstery.

Together with a 4-speaker audio system, there is also a pair of 10.25-inch digital displays inside Bingo. One of them acts as a digital instrument cluster while the other one is used by the infotainment system, which supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
There are a couple of things that do reveal Bingo’s entry-level positioning, such as the lack of a telescoping steering wheel as well as electric seat controls for the front passenger. Equipped with a McPherson strut on the front and torsion beam at the back, the EV also comes with 15-inch steel wheels and wheel covers alongside Linglong Green-Max HP010 185/60 tyres.

At the same time, there is no Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) on the Bingo, and it comes with just a passive Cruise Control. You do get several rudimentary features such as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) with Auto-hold, Blind Spot Warning, Low Speed Pedestrian Alarm, rear parking sensor, reverse camera, ISOFIX points, and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
That being said, there is one safety feature that is unique to our market. At the moment, only the Bingo for the Malaysian market comes with 6 airbags as opposed to just 2 airbags in other markets.

TQ Wuling Malaysia has also confirmed to SoyaCincau.com that the Malaysian variant will feature blind spot indicators on the side mirror, even though they were not present on the display units that were shown at the launch event.
