Ahead of the Chinese New Year holiday, Gentari has upgraded its existing EV charging station near the Penchala tunnel.
Gentari has turned on its 200kW Kempower DC Charging solution at Petronas Penchala Link (Damansara Bound) which provides faster DC charging than before. Prior to this, the location is served by a standalone 24kW DC Charger.
This is an ideal EV charging stop for those heading from KL to Shah Alam, Damansara and Petaling Jaya from Penchala Link. The Petronas station is located on the left after the toll plaza.

For this location, Gentari offers a 200kW DC Charger with 3x CCS nozzles. This charger can charge up to 200kW for 800V EVs and up to 120kW for 400V EVs.
The charger is priced at RM1.60 per kWh and you can activate it via Gentari Go, ChargEV and JomCharge app. To enjoy savings on charging, you can get up to 30% off with Gentari Go’s new subscription plans.

To ensure higher availability of the charger, take note that Gentari imposes an overstay fee of RM1.50 per minute if you remain connected to the charger after 1 hour, which is equivalent to RM90 per hour. The overstay fee is imposed regardless if you’re still charging or not.
