Google has officially announced its latest smartphone, the Pixel 10a. The new model joined other devices in the Pixel 10 series that were launched last year, including the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10.
The Pixel 10a essentially completes the Pixel 10 family as its base model. However, if you are expecting it to be a significant upgrade over last year’s Pixel 9a, then you might be in for a surprise.
Google Pixel 10a Malaysia Pricing, Launch Date

Google Pixel 10a will be making its way into Malaysia on 5 March. The company has not yet confirmed whether both 128GB and 256GB variants will be released in Malaysia, but has said that the price for the Pixel 10a will start at RM2,299.
This means that the Pixel 10a’s launch price will be RM400 lower than the Pixel 9a when it was released here last April. Meanwhile, Google has also confirmed that all 4 colourways of Pixel 10a, including Lavender, Berry, Fog, and Obsidian, will be released in Malaysia.
Google Pixel 10a vs Pixel 9a: What’s New?

In general, the Pixel 10a doesn’t differ much from its predecessor. The design language is generally the same, although if you pay close attention to its back, you would then notice that the rear camera module on Pixel 10a is now fully flush as opposed to its predecessor, which has a slightly protruding outline.
In addition to that, the Pixel 10a is also still running on the Google Tensor G4 processor, just like the outgoing Pixel 9a. This is the first time since the Pixel 5a that a Pixel A-series model does not come with the same processor as its flagship siblings.

The Pixel 10a also retains plenty of features from its predecessors, including 8GB of RAM, a 6.3-inch OLED 120Hz display, a 48MP main camera, a 13MP ultrawide camera, a 13MP selfie camera, and a 5,100mAh battery.
That being said, there are still some notable upgrades on the Pixel 10a, such as improved screen brightness with up to 3,000 nits. The durability of the phone’s display has also been increased through the implementation of Gorilla Glass 7i. The Pixel 10a also comes with a faster 45W wired charging speed, while the wireless charging speed has also been increased to 10W.

Being a newer model, the latest AI features, such as Camera Coach and Auto Best Tak,e are available out of the box. Pixel 10a also supports Satellite SOS, but unfortunately, this feature is not yet available in Malaysia.
